Promising Excellence in Everything We Do
WHO WE ARE
Fox Den Salon began in 2007 as an independently owned 5 chair hair salon in the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood (or simply "the Wedge"), just north of Uptown. In 2017 the salon expanded to include a second location, Fox Den Salon: Hennepin, just minutes away on, you guessed it, Hennepin Avenue, and re-christening the original location Fox Den Salon: Lyndale for it's 10th birthday.
The stylists have a passion for creating a great experience for their clients, and welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and hair types. They also participate in numerous events to support their local communities and several charitable causes, and feature eco-friendly hair care products that are sulfate free, organic, have low carbon foot prints and contain sustainable ingredients.
The staff works hard to be good people, doing great hair.

Get to Know Us
SICA DAWN
Stylist
For over a decade Sica has focused her professional efforts not only on her own success, but also on collaborations with other stylists and artists from the Twin Cities, opening Fox Den in 2007 as a way to bring progressive, sustainable, and attainable beauty to her neighborhood. She is constantly working to stay ahead of the cutting-edge in fashion, form and design through local training and events, large training programs, brand partnerships and completing multiple prestigious programs such as HAIR:MASTERED with Sam McKnight, and training with the peerless powerhouse of education, Vivienne Mackinder, Tearsheets Artists and Bangstyle in LA, and DJ RIggs and Berry Bachen of Maintentrance Artists in NYC.
Anyways, all credentials aside, she's a complete hair nerd and we all get it, but she's also pretty chill and loves helping people be the best version of themselves.

HANNAH FELICE
Stylist
Hannah has accomplished a lot in the seven years she's been in the beauty industry – from multiple runway collections and doing hair for Fashion Week Minnesota (#FWMN) to creating a reputation for being a science geek behind the chair. Hannah enjoys creating texture, building volume in fine locks and taking on extensive “hair projects”.
She's delved into the world of avant-garde hair and make-up, exploring the realm of styles beyond simple cuts and colors, participated in a number of hair-centric art shows and competitions all while maintaining a successful career behind the chair. Hannah believes continuing education classes need to be a priority for all stylists and attends as many industry events as she can, ensuring her skills always remain sharp and trends on point.

AUDRA KINNEY
Stylist
Never one to settle, she is always on the lookout for ways to strengthen her creative muscles, working on events for Fashion Week Minneapolis (#FWMN) and Project Runway, styling and assisting for photoshoots, including local fashion luminary (and former Project Runway contestant) Danielle Everine, and working as the salon's Bridal Services Coordinator.
The drive that Audra has for excellence in everything she does is unmatched (seriously, even her leftovers that she brings for lunch are better than most regular dinners), but the areas that she truly shines in are when she is unleashed with her palate of rainbow colors, or performing one of her well thought out color corrections. From fades and beards to baby-bangs and blow-outs, she does nothing but continue to evolve and improve, taking in feedback with poise and creating lasting relationships with clients from all walks of life. Everything Audra does confirms her commitment to constantly pushing herself because that’s just who she is: an all-around badass babe!

JES TRAUT
Stylist
Holistic hair health and giving the client the tools they need to keep that good-hair momentum they have after they walk out the doors is pretty much Jes's mission in life and a few hours with her is a total game changer!
Bringing a unique blend of refined eclecticism, collaborative ingenuity, and a sense of purpose behind the chair, she's as colorful a mind as the palate she paints the world with. A true lover of hair knowledge she takes inspiration from people like her hair-crush Emily Costello, James Mould and Ben Crase of III Education, and is the Education Coordinator for the salon.
The only passion she seems to hold more intensely than her love of precision cuts, shaping curls, and maintenencing dreads is the love of her lil wiener dog, Rachel (seriously, you can tell a lot about a person by their phone's camera roll!)

GEORGIA
Stylist
This Bemidji native came to Minneapolis years ago with a dream in her heart and a few dollars in her pocket. Hey, Bemidji’s not for nothing (did you know that after the Grand Canyon, Paul and Babe in Bemidji is the most photographed landmark in America?), and she got some good years of styling under her belt before making her way to a major twin cities salon, and a studio salon to hone in on her craft even more. Along the way Georgia’s love for knowledge lead her to working in one of the most challenging and rewarding roles of her career: as an educator at a cosmetology school.
Her love for creative expression, eco-friendly products, extensive training in curly and textured hair and desire to challenge herself and grow in the industry brought her back behind the chair, to her home at Fox Den Salon: Hennepin! If you’re looking for someone that cares, who can work under pressure but also commiserate about everything from cooking and camping to vintage clothes and bearded dragons, Georgia is your hair soul mate. She’s got the magical product recommendation to solve every hair quandary, PLUS she can talk you through how to get that at-home-style to be identical to that just-left-the-salon vibe in a way that makes us pretty sure she is actually maybe a real life hair wizard.

SHELBY
Stylist
I am an Aveda graduate, who has a passion for both editorial hair and makeup and every day looks. Ive worked as a model for NAHA, Aveda's Breast Cancer Awareness fashion show, and other local fashion shows. I've also worked as a stylist and makeup artist for Fox Den's Flagrant MNFW show.
I love to do fun and crazy hair colors, sleek cuts, messy styling, you name it. Being able to collaborate with clients to find what makes them feel comfortable in their own skin is the best part of my job!
When im not cutting hair im watching anime, playing video games, sewing cosplays, learning japanese, or just generally nerding it up!

BENJAMIN
stylist
Meet Benjamin! This nerd has had an interesting path as a hair artist. Since entering the industry in 2013, not only has he has worked in salon, on photosets, and runways, but he has also delved into the magical world of wigs, hair, and makeup for theater, drag, and burlesque. He has worked as a wig technician at several theaters including the Guthrie Theater, Artistry Theater, and the James Sewell Ballet. In addition to wigs, Benjamin specializes in clipper cutting, curly hair, color, vintage styling, and updos. When this goofball isn’t behind the chair, he spends his time covered in glitter, singing songs, and doing a little dance with local burlesque companies across the cities under the name Misfit. Misfit is the emcee and resident lung-buster for Clothing Optional Cabaret, a troupe he co-founded!

AUDRA KINNEY

CLAIRE SYKORA
Stylist
Are you ready for a style that defies gravity? Fantasy colors? Pieced out, shattered looks? Then Claire’s your girl! In addition to the day-to-day wearable styles she can achieve, Claire loves working on cosplay hair for her fellow geeks on their way to events and cons. A pro at directing her supreme fandom to hair, she rocks color theory, extensions, and styling, and helping people feel as good on the outside as they are awesome on the inside.
While hair play is tons of fun, Claire is serious about education, studying under celebrity hairstylist Nick Arrojo from TLC’s “What Not to Wear”, on location in Australian to learn from stylists and product creators, and taking the experiences from her many travels and exploring foreign cultures and trends. So, let’s get nerdy creating some awesome colors together, and let Claire design something for your unique personal style.

ERICA CUELLAR
Stylist
Erica has spent most of her life discovering herself artistically. Growing up in a household full of artists, musicians, and crafters, she spent most of her time learning various instruments, sewing, and how to craft her way through a wide array of projects. Having those resources, she learned that working with her hands is what she does best. She is a self-taught jeweler whose skills soared when she started working at a bead shop with like-minded artists, finding her niche working with organic materials, and developing an eye for out-of-the-box, avant-garde pieces. As she fostered her developing skills, she sought a way to take them a step further and bring her art to a more functional media: hair.
Graduating from the Aveda Institute the summer of 2017, she found her place again among like-minded artists here at The Fox Den. Her eye for jewelry has given her an eye for organic shapes, leading to an intuitive love of working with natural curls, and she can't to bring her custom concepts of fashion colors to the masses.

REGGEI LARSON
Stylist
Hair has been this gal’s passion for her whole life, and for over 4 years she’s been able to live that dream as a stylist in the Twin Cities! If it was required that all stylists needed a 90’s rap lyric as a tag line, hers would easily be “if you’ve got a problem, yo, I’ll solve it” as immortalized by the iconic hairstyled, Ninja Turtle homie, Vanilla Ice. Getting away from Vanilla Ice, because let’s be real, we’d be here all day, Reggei’s craft is what keeps her moving, and being on a team that can help her bring all that crazy hair wisdom she’s sitting on is pretty much the tops.
She’s got a wicked fade locked and loaded to tailor to your exact specifications, and can give you an angled bob that will grow out in a way that will make you double check if you even need to trim it because it’s still laying *just right*, or taming textures to bend to her will like an Edwardian (scissor hands, obvs) sculpture… and color? Forget about it Reggie really shines on the big projects, color corrections, complete hair color makeovers, and taking blondes from bummer brassy to platinum classy are totally where it’s at, and of course a little high light and root touch is always applied with the same precision and thought of an expert hair-doctor.

ALEX
Stylist
Alex is the queen of sparkles and everything else that’s fun & funky! Hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota, she graduated from Aveda in the summer of 2017. Alex finds her inspiration in fashion and art, as well as in each unique client she sees. She is passionate about helping people find their true selves, transforming each client into the magical being they were meant to be. She really enjoys experimenting and is always up for a challenge, which there is no shortage of opportunity for here at Fox Den Salon! Alex loves how artistic and community-centered Fox Den is, and feels it’s a good match for her loud, wild style. This former unicyclist (seriously!) spends her free time hitting up local shows and grabbing a beverage or two with close friends.

MARY
Front Desk
Mary is putting her experience in a call center to good use at the front desk, keeping our phone lines in order with her well crafted “phone voice”. She has been a fringe member of the Fox Den Family for over a year but made it official spring of 2018 and has been loving every minute of it. When she is not captaining the desk, she is studying to be an Esthetician, reading graphic novels, and discussing her love of cats with anyone who will listen. She is a Hufflepuff and will happily debate favorite Harry Potter books for your entire appointment.

COLIN
Front Desk
Colin is super duper excited to be working at Fox Den Salon! While he is brand new to the salon industry, he was first introduced to Fox Den as a client and has been hooked on the world-class styling and overtly inclusive atmosphere ever since. Prior to salon life, Colin worked with a children’s mental health nonprofit and has a great passion for supporting under-served and marginalized youth. He moved to Minneapolis from Boston, MA where the people are friendlier and the air is much, much colder. When he isn’t chatting with clients at the front desk or giggling with his coworkers, you’re likely to find Colin at a local coffee shop, chilling at home with his lovely roommate and his beautiful cat Alfred, or performing music at open mic events around the Twin Cities area.
