Our Story

Our Vision

The Fox Den is committed to providing exceptional professional hair services, concious consumption, maintaining a creative and welcoming space for a variety of people, and supporting our local communities.

The Fox Den has been open since 2007 to fill the needs of a female owned, affordable, community oriented place for people in our neighborhood to gather, and achieve the look that they are going for at a place that they feel welcome. The Fox Den Salon strives to make everyone feel invited, regardless of race, creed, age, orientation, gender expression, or affiliation.

The fox den salon is a locally owned 5 chair hair salon, nestled in the northern corner of the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood (or simply "the Wedge"), just north of uptown. The stylists have a passion for creating a great experience for their clients, and welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and hair types. They also participate in numerous events to support their local communities and charitable causes, and feature eco-friendly hair care products that are sulfate free, organic, have low carbon foot prints and contain sustainable ingredients. The staff works hard to be good people, doing great hair.

DANIEL

Sica This Minneapolis lady-about-town has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2005. She feels that doing hair allows her connect with people; helping them realize creative possibilities, see themselves in a new way, learn, and most importantly, feel good. She is truly thankful for each and every client. Whether you view hair as art, necessity, or an obstacle, Sica is here for you.	Hannah Despite being new to Minnesota, Hannah Felice has Minneapolis pride comparable to the natives and being in uptown has nurtured her talent. She is not afraid of curls (goodbye Christmas tree hair), loves making fine hair voluminous, and has an innate ability to take layman's terms and turn them into exactly what you imagined, complete with styling advice and product recommendations.
Steph Comparison is the thief of joy. And we wouldn't dare compare this hurricane of laughter to anyone else. Steph's professional career started in Iowa, moved her around the Midwest, and after eight years in the industry landed her in Minneapolis. With an appetite for life that runs parallel with her voracious passion for her career, Steph exudes confidence and expertise in complete make-overs, transforming long hair into short, edgy styles, and making Pinterest hair color fantasies come true.	Kristina Kristina uses her own unique style and passion for hair behind the chair. Being in the industry since 2008, Kristina believes that everyone should leave her chair with a cut or color that enhances each individual's personality. You are guaranteed to leave with new knowledge of custom at-home styling techniques and detailed product knowledge that is sure to leave you feeling like the best version of yourself.
Audra Audra decided to follow her passion and go to beauty school when she turned 30, beginning an amazing career that has now brought her to the Fox Den. She loves helping people on their journeys to becoming their most authentic selves, with their hair playing such a key role in a person's self expression. When not behind the salon chair, Audra is busy being a mom to two of the coolest humans on the planet, Mackenzie, 10, and Logan, 8.

Sica

They strive to stay up on the latest trends and skills through ongoing education, and work hard to translate their knowledge into practical, custom styles that are tailored to each client.

Our Support Staff

We decided to class up the joint with some support staff so our stylists could focus on creating fabulous hair. They won't touch your hair, but they will make sure you have a fantastic experience, from the second you book your appointment to the moment you walk out the door.

Daniel Daniel is proof that the best place to find great new employees is in our own salon chairs. He started getting his hair cut here when he first moved to Minneapolis, but now he's answering our phones, managing our site, and making sure everything runs smoothly. He loves the salon's philosophy of ensuring a safe space for everyone, and he is committed to making that a reality every day.
